If in the North there are the beaches of the Costa Smeralda to be the host in the South there are less known areas but which contain an enviable beauty. The beaches of South West Sardinia are jewels, sometimes difficult to reach and in other cases quite accessible with parking a few meters from the beach. In case you are oriented to visit remote beaches with white sand and crystal clear water I suggest you fill out the form at the bottom of the page, it will be a pleasure to help you to admire the beauties of a hidden Sardinia , sometimes even to us Sardinians.
A beach can have a type of conformation, it can be more or less exposed to the winds, it can be suitable for families or not. All these factors are fundamental for the choice of a coastal area , for this reason our task and our work is based precisely on this: to recommend the best based on the type of traveler and his tastes / needs. In optimal conditions we have therefore made a small ranking of the beaches of South West Sardinia hoping that they can be of help in choosing one beach rather than another. For everything else, we are there

South West Sardinia Beaches
INDEX
Top 5 most beautiful beaches in South West Sardinia
We have put this beach in fifth place only and exclusively because it is practically inaccessible by land as it is part of a militarized area but is accessible by sea. His main feature? Totally unspoiled and here, in this area, the wild reigns. The real Sardinia is here and you can see it from a multitude of points of view, flora and fauna in the natural state and without any kind of "human intervention".
4) PORTO PINO
Do you want to feel in heaven for a moment? You are in the best place. An expanse of white sand for about 4 km, a sea characterized by a shallow seabed, high dunes behind, a lagoon that is home to flamingos and the green of the Mediterranean scrub, typical of a Sardinian coastal landscape. You are on one of the most beautiful beaches and even more photographed of Sardinia. A study also recorded a rather particular statistic, it is one of the most popular beaches in winter, both for surfing, both for sport fishing and for its truly unique natural landscape.
3) LA BOBBA BEACH
We are on the island of San Pietro, and this is undoubtedly one of the beaches most beautiful in southwestern Sardinia. Easily accessible via road 103, the coast is sandy very fine white , protected by a cliff on the sides and by a small dune behind it, it is therefore sheltered in the event of a mistral. The sea has turquoise colors and a shallow seabed, ideal for children. The beach has various services such as the presence of a kiosk with bathroom, secure parking, catering points, canoe rental, sunbeds and umbrellas.
2) CALA ONION
A pearl of South Sardinia. The beach itself is quite small but wide, perfect for those who love sea views. From the beach you can walk up to the top of the promontory to the lighthouse to admire the view. The golden sand and reddish rocks make this place a small paradise for those who want to be quiet on windy days and perhaps want to shelter a little from the heat under the shrubs of the Mediterranean scrub.
1) TUERREDDA
The first place in this particular ranking. Located in the inlet enclosed between Punta Tuerredda and Punta Antoni Areddu , Sa Tuerredda consists of a beach about 500 meters long, characterized by a singular double arch shape. I consider this place a real pearl of Southern Sardinia , indeed of the whole island. The sand is clear, fine, white in color, and overlooks a beautiful crystalline sea, where the emerald green of the shore meets the intense blue of the seabed where the sea becomes deeper. The landscape concludes its beauty with the view of an islet in front of the beach, easily reachable by swimming and with a suggestive tower on top. Behind the beach, the Mediterranean scrub and the remains of a small nuraghe. A perfect picture.
